Question:
He says: I purchase spare parts, and the owner of the spare parts shop rewards his customers who are interested in a material form from his own profit, and he is content with that because...
The Shaykh: Repeat.
Question : I purchase spare parts, and the owner of the spare parts shop rewards his customers who are interested in a material form from his own profit, and he is content with that because it brings popularity to the sale of his goods. So, if I take from him this reward that was not agreed upon, which he gives of his own desire and with his own consent, is there any harm in that? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
There is no harm, if Allah wills, on the condition that you fulfill the trust. However, if you come to him and buy from him for the sake of the benefit, and you may harm others if you are buying for someone else, then it is not permissible. But if you buy from him like anyone else, while fulfilling the trust, and if you are an agent fulfilling the trust, you should strive to buy the goods from him and from others at their prices, and if he gives you something, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1045a But if you do not, and you only come to him to give him the exclusive visit for the sake of the benefit he gives you, and you neglect others for the sake of the benefit, this is not allowed.
But if the intention is that you saw that his goods are suitable, or that his price is reasonable, or like that of others, there is nothing wrong with it.
The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
