Rewarding the Doer of Good

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: What is the best phrase to say to someone who has done me a favor? Should I say to him: (Thank you) or (May Allah reward you with good)? ?
A2: Rewarding one who has done a favor is a matter commanded by Allah. It is good for the reward to be like his action. If that is not possible, then reward him by making du'a' for him, as indicated by his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
If someone does you a favor, reward him. If you do not find with which to reward him, then make du'a' for him until you see that you have rewarded him.من صنع إليكم معروفًا فكافؤوه، فإن لم تجدوا ما تكافؤونه فيه فادعوا له حتى تروا أنكم قد كافئتموه
. The phrase (May Allah reward you with good) mentioned in the question is closer to the reality of du'a' than the phrase (Thank you), and the matter in this is broad.
