Clarification that acts of worship are based on divine prescription

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it obligatory to increase in acts of worship, even if there is no text from the Lawgiver regarding them, or should one restrict oneself to what is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Answer:
Acts of worship are based on divine prescription, so nothing is prescribed from them except what has come from the Shari'ah; such as the five daily prayers, zakah, fasting in Ramadan, Hajj, and other things that Allah has prescribed from the voluntary prayers, charity, fasting, Hajj, and jihad, and other things established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) by evidence of their legitimacy from his words or actions, such as the Dhuha prayer, the prayer of istikharah, and the greeting of the mosque, and other things indicated by the scriptural proofs.
