Are the dhikr phrases prescribed? And what are the types of dhikr?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Are the dhikr phrases prescribed?

Answer:
The dhikr phrases are prescribed in one aspect, and are known through the evidence of the Shari'ah in another.
So there are dhikr phrases that are said to be prescribed, having come down by explicit text: such as tasbih, tahlil, tahmid, and takbir.
And there is dhikr through reflection: such as the fear of Allah when something happens to a person that he fears, and such as: the hope in Allah, and such as: the longing for Allah, and remembering His greatness, and remembering His great blessings. A person needs these according to his thinking, his reflection, his reasoning, his closeness to Allah, and his lack of heedlessness.
And so it is with the righteous deeds that Allah has prescribed, and drawing near to Him by performing them as Allah has prescribed, from prayer and others. So acts of worship are prescribed, but the ways to them differ.
