The ruling on saying: (May Allah accept) after the taslim of the prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible to say: May Allah accept, and to shake hands after completing the prayer? This is common among people.

Answer:
If he shakes hands with his brother after the prayer, and after he has finished his dhikr, there is no harm if he did not shake hands with him before the prayer, or upon entering the mosque. The handshake should occur after he says: (I seek Allah's forgiveness three times. O Allah, You are Peace and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent. There is no power and no strength except by Allah. There is no god but Allah, and we worship none but Him. His is the favor, His is the grace, and His is the good praise. There is no god but Allah, we are sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it. O Allah, there is no one who can prevent what You have given, and there is no one who can give what You have withheld, and no possessor of wealth can benefit You with his wealth).
This is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do when he said the taslim from the prayer. He would say: I seek Allah's forgiveness three times. O Allah, You are Peace and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor. Then he would turn to the people and give them his noble face (peace and blessings be upon him), then he would proceed to the mentioned dhikr, which is: There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. O Allah, there is no one who can prevent what You have given, and there is no one who can give what You have withheld, and no possessor of wealth can benefit You with his wealth.
And if he shakes hands with his brother on his right or on his left, there is no harm if he did not shake hands with him before the prayer; for there is in that affection and bonding. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the authentic hadith:
Should I not direct you to a thing which, if you do, will foster love amongst you: (i. e.) give currency to (the practice of paying salutation to one another by saying) as-salamu alaikum.ألا أدلكم على شيء إذا فعلتموه تحاببتم أفشوا السلام بينكم
Sahih Muslim 54a
, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to shake hands with his Companions. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If one of you meets his brother, let him greet him. And if a wall, a stone, or a tree stands between him and him, and then he meets him, let him greet him.إذا لقي أحدكم أخاه فليسلم عليه، وإذا حال بينه وبينه جدار أو حجر أو شجرة ثم لقيه فليسلم عليه
And the Companions, when they met , would shake hands. So the handshake and the greeting are a confirmed sunnah, and there is in that great good for bonding, affection, and closeness among Muslims. And if he had already shaken hands with him in the row before the prayer, that is sufficient, if Allah wills.
