The Ruling on Saying the Basmalah and the Amine Quietly

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz to the honorable brother S. M. A. May Allah guide him to all good and increase him in knowledge and faith. Amen.
Your question is about: Saying the Basmalah aloud and not saying the Amine?

Answer:
The answer is: It is better to say the Basmalah quietly; based on the statement of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Abu Bakr, and 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not say "Bism Allah al-Rahman al-Rahim" aloud. And if a person says it aloud sometimes for the sake of teaching, there is nothing wrong with it; because it is established from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) what indicates that.
As for the Amine, the Sunnah is to say it after the word
And not those who go astray.وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
in prayer and outside of it; because it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he used to do that and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When the Imam says Amin, say Amin, for if anyone’s utterance of Amin synchronnises with that of the angles, he will be forgiven his past sins.إذا قال الإمام: ولا الضالين فقولوا: آمين فإنه من وافق تأمينه تأمين الملائكة غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه
