The ruling on praying behind one who believes that Allah is everywhere
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A listener sent a message saying: The sender is Tahir Musa, the brother Tahir asks and says: There is an imam who leads us in prayer, and he says: That Allah is not above, nor below, and that He is everywhere. Is it permissible for us to pray behind this imam?
Answer:
This is an innovator who is astray; one does not pray behind him. Whoever says: That Allah is not above, nor below; he is a disbeliever. Allah is above, He says -Exalted and Majestic is He-: [Taha:5] And He says, Glorified is He: [Al-A'raf:54] And He says: [Al-Baqarah:255], [Saba:23] [Ghafir:12] And He said: [Fatir:10] He said: [Al-Ma'arij:4] In many verses. If he claims that Allah is not above, and that He is everywhere, he is a misguiding, misguided disbeliever. He is to be asked to repent; if he repents; otherwise he is killed. It is upon the one in authority to ask him to repent in the court; if he repents, otherwise he is killed. We ask Allah for safety.
The presenter : O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.

The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established.
Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne
And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
And He is the Most High, the Grand.
So the judgement is with Allah, the Most High, the Grand."
To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it
The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him
The presenter : O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
