The Easy Methods and Means for Memorizing the Qur'an

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The question is about the approach a Muslim should adopt to make it easy for him to memorize the Noble Qur'an?

Answer:
First: Sincerity of intention for the sake of Allah. His aim should be the Face of Allah... in learning the Qur'an, and in memorizing the Qur'an. He should be sincere to Allah in this so that his Lord will assist him:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way outوَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا
[Al-Talaq:2]:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا
[Al-Talaq:4].
So we advise every believing man and woman to be sincere in preserving the Qur'an, in learning the Qur'an, in learning religious knowledge, and in all lawful deeds. We advise everyone to be sincere for Allah, and that the intention should be for the face of Allah and the Hereafter. Then we advise him to be earnest and persistent in preserving the Qur'an, and to seek out the appropriate times, whether at night or during the day; because every person has his own circumstances. So we advise everyone who wants to preserve the Noble Qur'an, or to increase in its recitation, we advise everyone to seek out the appropriate times when his heart is empty and he is able to reflect and understand, so that his memorization, and so that his recitation, may be fruitful. He should look at his night and his day, and choose the appropriate time to preserve what is made easy, or to read what is made easy, with a present heart, turning to Allah, seeking Allah and the Hereafter, reflecting and understanding, as Allah the Exalted said:
[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ
[38:29] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?أَفَلا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَى قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا
[47:24].
So the believing man and woman should seek out the appropriate times for memorizing the Qur'an and reciting the Qur'an, so that the hearts are present, and so that the believing man and woman benefit from their recitation. May Allah guide them all.

The presenter : O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
