Memorizing the Qur'an for the Student of Knowledge First

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Does the student of knowledge memorize the Qur'an alone until he completes it, or does he combine it with the texts?

Answer:
Answer: It is recommended that memorizing the Qur'an be done in childhood. When a child begins to distinguish, he should start memorizing the Qur'an. He should memorize the Qur'an first, and then seek knowledge. It is better for the student of knowledge to memorize the Qur'an first if possible. If he does not memorize the Qur'an, it is not necessary; it is sufficient that he reads the Qur'an. It is sufficient that he is good at reading the Qur'an, even if he looks at the mushaf; there is no harm in that. However, if he memorizes it, there is no doubt that it is better. He can combine memorization with learning knowledge. He can allocate time for memorizing the Qur'an and another time for learning knowledge.
