The Shaykh’s advice to students on the necessity of having a general culture in the Shari'ah so that they can authenticate and weaken hadiths

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Regarding the science of hadith and its terminology, but this alone is not sufficient. It is necessary for them to have a general culture in the Shari'ah, so that when they are delivering a sermon, for example, they align with the wisdom of legislation. As Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned when he was asked if it is possible to know a fabricated hadith without referring to the chain of narration? He said: "Yes, the one who has studied the Sunnah and lived in it and breathed in it until it flowed through his veins like blood to the end..." This is the one who is capable. This contains a very strong indication of this type of culture that enables a person to authenticate and weaken hadiths.
