The ruling on delegating the stoning of the pillars

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner says: In the stoning of the pillars, is it permissible for a husband to stone on behalf of his wife for all the pillars? This is because he will be with an infant, and if he leaves the infant with someone and goes to stone the pillars, the child will cry. And in the case where there is no child, is it also permissible for the husband to stone on behalf of his wife? This is to spare her the severe crowding, even if she is strong enough to walk?

Answer:
This matter involves detail, and people err in it often. If the woman is strong and able to stone, it is obligatory for her to stone, either at night or during the day. If there is crowding during the day, she stones at night after the sun sets until the end of the night; the whole time is for stoning. The night of the eleventh, the night of the twelfth, and the night of the thirteenth, all of it is for stoning.
As for if she is sick, or an old woman, or has children for whom there is no one to look after them, she delegates her husband, or someone else, to stone on her behalf, and praise be to Allah. Likewise, the old man and the sick man delegate. Likewise, for children, the one who performed Hajj on their behalf stones for them.
As for the strong woman whom Allah has kept safe, she looks for the appropriate time and stones in it, and does not delegate. Yes.
