Agency in the Stoning of the Pillars
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14117 )
Q2: My mother performed Hajj twice, but she did not stone the pillars in either of the two Hajj, rather my father stoned them on her behalf . It is known that in the first Hajj she was capable of stoning the pillars, but she had a small child with her, whereas in the second Hajj she was advanced in age and unable to stone the pillars, and my father stoned on her behalf. Is her Hajj valid or not?
A2 : If your mother’s agency of your father in stoning on her behalf, as mentioned in the question, was because in the first Hajj she was with the child, and in the second she was advanced in age, then we hope there is no blame on her for that. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
