The ruling on delegating the stoning of the pillars

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, we move on to another question from our brother who sent this letter. He says: I performed Hajj last year, and all praise and thanks are due to Allah. I stoned the pillars on behalf of my wife. She was not pregnant and not ill. I had four small children with me, and I saw the crowd, so I did not see that she was able to stone the pillars. Is this permissible, or has she left behind an obligatory duty? What is required of her now?

Answer:
If the situation is as you described, she owes nothing. This is because her engaging in the stoning of the pillars—throwing the stones—while with the children is a great danger, and there is a great danger to the children’s guardians. So she is excused by the presence of the children with her through delegation. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
