Ruling on a person taking money from a worker he brought in for employment

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The last question says: I brought in five workers and took a sum of money from each of them in exchange for my efforts. Is the money I took lawful or forbidden?

Answer:
If it is in return for what you spent to obtain what benefits them, that is one thing. But bringing them in just to take money from them; that is not valid, it is not permissible.
But if you brought them in, treated them well, and worked to secure their residency, and they are good and righteous people, then there is no harm. However, you are not allowed to take more than what you spent on their food and drink, or on buying their necessities, or other things you spend on their needs. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good. The reality, Your Eminence, is that there is something called trading in workers. What is your guidance?

The Shaykh : This is a mistake. Trading in workers is not permissible. A decision has been issued by the Committee of Senior Scholars prohibiting this, and it is obligatory that they not be brought in except through the method that the state has clarified and explained. So whoever wants to bring someone in must follow the paths that the state has prescribed. Yes, so that he does not harm himself and does not harm the Muslims.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
