The Shaykh’s discussion regarding the fatwa on emigration and the reaction to it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student: He came from Baghdad.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: So, I was surprised when I arrived in Baghdad, and our Salafi brothers, of course, some of the brothers know them through, I mean, going back and forth.

The Shaykh: Yes.
The student: They said, what is this fatwa that the Shaykh mentioned? They asked, a fatwa about what? He said, about emigration. They asked, why? What happened with you, or what is the criticism about? How did the media here make such a big fuss!

The Shaykh: The media?
The student: The Iraqi media, yes, the newspapers and magazines. He said they raised the issue, meaning they took it to an extreme. When they filmed it, he said it was like what they did with us, meaning insults and curses and such. And may Allah reward you, we ask Allah that this be in your scale of good deeds.

The Shaykh: Amen.
The student: So our brother Hisham, of course, to the extent he could speak and such, told them that these are fabrications and exaggerations and such. He said, and Allah (Mighty and Majestic) willed that he have a copy of the book of the Shaykh Abu Malik.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: So he told them, in any case, this Shaykh Abu Malik has clarified, with complete clarity, the opinion of our Shaykh on the issue. And you can take this and publish it to the best of your ability, photograph it or whatever is similar to that.

The Shaykh: Yes.
The student: Yes, they said, by Allah, we were in a state of confusion. We could not face the people, because first of all, we did not have knowledge of the truth, and the people were all making a fuss and such. Yes, so we said, there is no power and no strength except in Allah.
