The ruling on one who supplicates to Allah that Satan not tie him in knots during sleep

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner asks: Is it permissible for me to supplicate to Allah that Satan not tie me in three knots when I sleep?
Answer:
We are not aware of anything preventing this. If he supplicates that Allah will protect him from the evil of Satan and from the evil of his knots, that is good. He is commanded to seek refuge in Allah from Satan, and Satan may indeed tie the knots.
When he wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; when he performs ablution, one knot is undone; and when he stands up and prays, all of his knots are undone.إذا أصبح، وذكر الله؛ انحلت عقدة، فإذا توضأ؛ انحلت عقدة، فإذا قام وصلى؛ انحلت عقده كلها
.
So if he asks Allah to protect him from the evil of Satan, to protect him from their knots, and to help him in His remembrance and obedience, all of this is good.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
