What is the ruling on the marriage contract for one who does not pray?

Question:
The questioner (Adnan M. A.) from Jordan says: He has been married for two years, and he learned from some friends that if he contracted the marriage while not performing the obligatory prayer, the contract is invalid. He notes that he contracted the marriage when he was not praying and not bowing in a single rak'ah. He is now fully committed to the five daily prayers. Does he have to repeat it? And how is that done after his divorce from his wife and a new contract?
So please inform us, O honorable Shaykh.

Answer:
If you were not praying and she was praying, the contract is not valid according to the correct view; because of his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): So if you were not praying and the woman is good and prays, the contract is not valid. It is renewed after your repentance. It is renewed. But if she was like you and not praying, the contract is valid, like the marriage of a disbeliever to a disbeliever.
But if she was praying and you were not praying, the contract is not valid and it is renewed according to the correct view after your repentance. Yes.
