Exegesis of Surat al-Kawthar

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener, Hamad al-Qahatani from Hijrah Tariq, sent a question saying: I hope you will explain Surat al-Kawthar?

Answer:
Allah the Exalted says:
Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ
[al-Kawthar:1] This is an address to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Al-Kawthar is a river in Paradise that he saw when he was raised up with him (peace and blessings be upon him). It is a great river in Paradise, from which two spouts flow on the Day of Resurrection into his (peace and blessings be upon him) pool, which is in the standing place on the Day of Resurrection.
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ
[al-Kawthar:2] This means: Give thanks to Allah, and pray to Him what Allah has commanded you of prayer. Some said: Its meaning is the festival prayer. (And sacrifice) means: Slaughter the sacrificial animals. The verse is more general; it covers all prayers and all slaughtering, whether of sacrificial animals or otherwise. All of it is slaughtered for Allah the Exalted, not for anyone else (Exalted and Majestic is He). However, the festival prayer and the slaughtering of the sacrifice are included in this.
(So pray to your Lord) and to no one else, meaning: Pray to Him alone (may He be exalted) the five daily prayers, the festival prayer, and the Friday prayer are all for Allah alone, and likewise the voluntary prayers are all for Allah. Likewise, the slaughtering, as He the Exalted said:
Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.قُلْ إِنَّ صَلاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
[al-An'am:162].
So prayer is for Allah, and slaughtering is for Allah, just as charity is for Allah, prostration is for Allah, and supplication is for Allah. It is not permissible for a Muslim to supplicate to anyone other than Allah, nor to prostrate to anyone other than Allah, nor to slaughter for anyone other than Allah. Rather, it is obligatory that his deeds be for Allah alone (may He be exalted) .
Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الأَبْتَرُ
[al-Kawthar:3] (The one who hates) is the one who hates and opposes. And (the one who is cut off) is the one who is deficient and severed. So the one who hates the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and opposes him is the one who is cut off in this world and the Hereafter, severed from the connection with Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and the connection with the causes of happiness. He has nothing but the Fire, we seek refuge in Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
