Is being afflicted with insects evidence of Allah's displeasure?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a message received from the Arab Republic of Egypt. The questioner, (B. A. Sh.), says in this question: Some people say that one who is afflicted with certain insects, such as fleas, houseflies, ants, or mosquitoes, for example, means that Allah is displeased with him because he is afflicted with very small things. We ask you to elaborate on this topic, may you be rewarded, O Shaykh.

Answer:
There is no evidence for this. A person may be afflicted with insects, or with things other than insects, to raise his ranks and to be an example in patience, just as the prophets are afflicted. The prophets are afflicted with many things, including insects, things other than insects, enemies, and diseases. This does not indicate that Allah hates him. Ayyub, who was a prophet among the prophets, was afflicted with a disease that lasted a long time. Some prophets were killed. Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wounded on the Day of Uhud; the helmet was broken on his head, and he is the most beloved of people to Allah and the best of them.
So the righteous are afflicted, and then they have a good outcome. Therefore, a person of intellect should not be deceived by this. Rather, the messengers and the righteous are afflicted with calamities, and they have a good outcome. This does not indicate that they have no status with Allah. Rather, calamities expiate the sin of disobedience and raise one in rank, with Allah's permission. For this reason, in the authentic hadith:
No worry, no sadness, no hardship, no illness, or anything else, even a thorn, strikes a Muslim except that Allah expiates his sins thereby.ما أصاب مسلم من هم، ولا غم، ولا نصب، ولا وصب، ولا شيء، حتى الشوكة إلا كفر الله بها من خطاياه
Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
