How many takbirs does the latecomer say if he catches the imam while he is bowing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He asks another question and says: How many takbirs does the ma'mum say when he arrives and the imam is in the state of bowing? I ask for detail on this issue.

Answer:
He says two takbirs: one while standing, and this is the first takbir, which is the takbir of ihram. It is a pillar that is obligatory, and the prayer does not become valid except with it. Then he descends while saying the takbir for bowing. If he fears that he will miss the rak'ah, he suffices with the first takbir, and it suffices for the takbir of bowing according to the more correct of the two opinions of the scholars. This is because they are two acts of worship that meet in one place, so one takes the greater of them, which is the takbir of ihram. However, this is on the condition that he performs it while standing before he bows, performing it while standing with the intention of the first takbir.
And if he is able to perform the second one while he is descending into bowing, that is the more complete. If that is not facilitated due to the tightness of time, the first takbir, which is the takbir of ihram, suffices according to the more correct of the two opinions of the scholars. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
