The Times of Takbir and the Number of Takbirs in the Prayer of the Two Festivals

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In the last of the questioner Latifi Saleh from Yemen’s questions, he asks: When does the takbir continue during the two festivals? And what is the number of takbirs in each rak'ah, excluding the takbir of ihram in the first rak'ah and the takbir of transition from prostration to standing in the second rak'ah? May you be rewarded.

Answer:
It is recommended (mustahabb) for Muslims, men and women, to recite the takbir during the two festivals, from the setting of the sun on the night of 'Id al-Fitr until the sermon of the festival prayer is completed. It is recommended to recite the takbir in homes, in markets, and during the sermon; based on His saying (Exalted and Majestic is He):
to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided youوَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَى مَا هَدَاكُمْ
[Surat al-Baqarah: 185]. And during 'Id al-Adha, the takbir is recited from the entry of the month, from the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah, in the night and the day, on the Day of 'Arafah, and on the days of the festival, after the prayers, and in the remaining times, both unrestricted and restricted. If one prays the Fajr prayer on the Day of 'Arafah, he recites the takbir after it, and so on for the remaining times, along with the takbir in the remaining times, until the sun sets on the thirteenth day of the days of Tashreeq. When the sun sets on the thirteenth day, the takbir ceases. That is, in the month of Dhul-Hijjah, from the beginning of the month until the setting of the sun on the thirteenth day, the entire period is a place for takbir. However, on the Day of 'Arafah and after it, the takbir is both unrestricted and restricted: unrestricted in all times, and restricted after the prayers. This is the stronger position (rajih) and the recommended (mustahabb) practice in this case, as it combines the authentic hadiths from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
As for the prayer, he recites six takbirs in the first rak'ah after the takbir of ihram, and five in the second rak'ah after the takbir of transition. He recites the takbir of ihram in the first rak'ah, then follows it with six consecutive takbirs. If he says between them: "Allahu Akbar Kabiran, wa al-Hamdu lillah Kathiran, wa Subhan Allah Bukratan wa 'Asilan," this is also good, as it came in the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud. And in the second rak'ah, he recites five takbirs after the takbir of transition when he rises from prostration and stands upright: he recites five, one after another, and says between them: "Allahu Akbar Kabiran..." and so on. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.
