The Takbir in the Prayer of the Festival

The third question of Fatwa No. ( 1732 )
Q3: Why is it recommended for us to say twelve takbirs in each of the two festival prayers before reciting al-Fatihah, and what is the benefit of that, and what is its meaning, unlike
the five obligatory prayers?
A3: The principle in acts of worship is that they are based on divine legislation, and that we worship Allah the Exalted and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) only with what they have commanded us to do, whether we know the wisdom behind it or not, especially regarding the methods of prayer, fasting, and Hajj. The intellect has no place in these matters. Among these matters is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) legislated for us: six or seven takbirs after the takbir of ihram and before reciting al-Fatihah in the first rak'ah of the festival prayers, and five takbirs before reciting al-Fatihah in the second rak'ah of the festival prayers, which are not done in the obligatory prayers. We must believe in the legislation of Allah the Exalted and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), submit to it, and listen and obey; because the principle in this is worship, not providing reasons. It is not permissible for a servant to interfere in what belongs to the affairs of Allah and His exclusive domain, such as acts of worship, their types, and their methods, nor to ask why Allah legislated this and left that, or what is the benefit of what He legislated. Rather, he must know what Allah and His Messenger have legislated and act upon it. If the wisdom becomes apparent to him, praise be to Allah; otherwise, he must submit to the ruling of Allah, obey, and be certain that He did not legis anything except for a wisdom and benefit for the servants; for He, Glorified and Exalted is He, is Wise and All-Knowing in His words and actions, His legislation and His decree. Allah the Exalted said:[Al-An'am 6:83] And what indicates what we have mentioned is His saying, Glorified is He: [Al-Ahzab 33:21]
the verse, and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih al-Bukhari 6008 narrated by al-Bukhari in his Sahih, and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) during the Farewell Pilgrimage: . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
