The ruling on restrooms facing the qiblah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner, who used the initials (A. A. J) from Riyadh, says in this question: Your Eminence, is there any issue with having restrooms in the house facing the qiblah, provided there is a screen?

Answer:
The correct view is that there is no harm in that if it is in houses; because it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he relieved himself in the house of Hafsa facing the direction of Sham, with his back to the Ka'bah (peace and blessings be upon him). However, placing it away from the qiblah is better; placing the toilets away from the qiblah is better.
As for in the desert, it is not permissible; in the desert, it is not permissible for a person to face the qiblah while defecating or urinating, but he should place it to his right or left. As for in houses, with a screen, there is nothing wrong with it, but if it is feasible to have it away from the qiblah even in houses, that is better and more excellent.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
