Is it permissible to prostrate without being in a state of ritual purity?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Your Eminence, can a person prostrate while not having performed the ablution for prayer?

Answer:
In the prostration of recitation and the prostration of gratitude, yes.
As for the prostration of the ritual prayer, which is a part of the prayer, ritual purity is required.
As for the prostration of recitation, it is an independent act. If it is outside of the prayer, it is permissible to prostrate without being in a state of ritual purity, according to the correct opinion. The same applies to the prostration of gratitude; because both occur due to causes that may happen while a person is not in a state of ritual purity. A blessing may come to him, and he may be informed of it while not in a state of ritual purity. He may read the Qur'an while not in a state of ritual purity, not from the written copy. If he comes upon a verse of prostration, or if something comes to him that brings him good news and he prostrates to Allah in gratitude, all of this is fine. In the hadith: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to prostrate to Allah when something that pleased him came to him. And when the news of the killing of Musaylimah came to al-Siddiq, he prostrated to Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
