Does the one who sends blessings upon the Prophet seventy times see him in a dream?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our brother asks and says: Some of us think about, and even desire, seeing the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream. I have read in a book that whoever sends blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seventy times will see the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Is this correct? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no basis for this, and seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not a condition for righteousness. A Muslim may see him, or he may not see him (peace and blessings be upon him). One may see him and then not be guided or find the right path afterward; we ask Allah for safety. What matters is following his Shari'ah and revering his commands and prohibitions, even if you do not see him in sleep. How many pious believers among the Companions and others have not seen him (peace and blessings be upon him) in sleep (peace and blessings be upon him).
So, the conclusion is that seeing him in sleep is not proof that you are pious or that you are wretched. Rather, the criterion is following his Shari'ah (peace and blessings be upon him) and being upright upon his religion. This is the proof of your righteousness or lack thereof. If you are upright upon his religion and follow his Shari'ah, you are a close friend of Allah, and you are among the beloved of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and among the beloved of Allah . And if you neglect his commands and prohibitions, and do not be upright upon his Shari'ah, and do not believe in him (peace and blessings be upon him), then you are his enemy and the enemy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Allah says :
Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sinsقُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ
[Al Imran: 31].
So, whoever loves Allah and loves His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), let him follow the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), let him be upright upon his religion, let him be sincere to Allah in worship, let him fulfill the obligatory duties, let him avoid evil deeds, and let him stand by the limits. This is the proof that you are pious and that you love Allah and His Messenger, even if you do not see the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). May Allah guide them all. Yes.
