What is the reason for the frequent encouragement to pray the 'Asr prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
There is a lot of encouragement regarding the 'Asr prayer. Shaykh: Abdul Aziz, perhaps you have a direction for this?

Answer:
It appears, and Allah knows best, that it is the best of the prayers; because it is the middle prayer, and it is the 'Asr prayer. Therefore, what came regarding it did not come regarding the others. And perhaps another reason is that it is a prayer that comes after the exhaustion of work for a person and the fatigue of a person. So one might be lenient in not performing it at its time or in congregation. So it was from the wisdom of Allah that He made clear its great status so that no one would be lenient with it, neither in congregation nor in its time. And it is the conclusion of the day, and deeds are judged by their endings. So there came in it from the hadiths what did not come in the others. And the ruling is one: it is obligatory for the believer to maintain all of them, and to strive for all of them; because they are all obligatory upon the believer, and they are all the pillar of Islam. So the obligatory thing is to maintain them, but the 'Asr prayer is given special care, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, as came in the other hadith:
The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are the 'Isha' prayer and the Fajr prayer. If only they knew what (reward) there is in them, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.أثقل الصلوات على المنافقين صلاة العشاء وصلاة الفجر، ولو يعلمون ما فيهما لأتوهما ولو حبوًا
Sunan Ibn Majah 797Sahih (Darussalam)
.
So the point is that it is obligatory for the believer to maintain all of them, and to take the means that help him in that, and to give the 'Asr, Fajr, and 'Isha' prayers special care, so that he does not resemble the hypocrites, and so that he does not miss the 'Asr prayer in which there is the severe warning. Yes.
