Ruling on making up fasts for a woman who lost her mind and then recovered

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A woman did not fast fifteen days of Ramadan because she lost her mind, and she did not make them up afterward until the next Ramadan arrived. What is required of her?

Answer:
If she lost her mind and then Allah restored her mind to her, she does not have to make up the days during which she was of unsound mind; she only has to make up the days she missed while she was of sound mind. As for if she is afflicted with madness or something similar, and then Allah heals her, she does not make up the days of madness.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.
