How to perform congregational prayer when there are three people

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: When the prayer becomes obligatory, and we are a group of three, the third of us is a boy approximately twelve years old, who has not reached puberty. Should we pray beside the imam, or should one of us and the boy line up behind one of us, since one of us is the imam? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If they wish, they may line up. If they wish, they line up. If there are three, the imam lines up in front of them, then the second person lines up with the boy who is twelve years old; they line up behind the imam. This is the recommended practice (sunnah), even if the boy is less than twelve years old, even if he is seven or eight years old; he lines up with the adult. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed with Anas and the orphan with him, placing them in a row behind him.
The point is: if there are two men with the imam, or boys, or a man and a boy, they line up behind him. The two men are behind him, the boys are behind him, and the man and the boy are behind him.
As for women, if there are women with them, they are behind the men, even if it is only one woman; she is behind the men alone, not lining up with the men. This is what is prescribed. Even if they pray on his right and left, it is valid, but the recommended practice (sunnah) is for them to be behind him. When Jabir and Jubar lined up with him (peace and blessings be upon him), he placed them behind him. And when he prayed in the house of Anas with Anas and his brother, he placed them behind him, and his brother was younger than him. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
