The Ruling on Clearing the Throat in Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner: Your Eminence! What about clearing one's throat during the prayer?

Answer:
Clearing the throat is permissible if there is a need. It is reported in some hadiths that 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I had two ways of entering upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So, if I came to him while he was praying, he would clear his throat for me." If I came to him while he was praying, he would clear his throat for me, yes, yes, meaning: to let him know that he was in prayer. So, if he clears his throat, or says: Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) in prayer, there is nothing wrong with that, but he should not do it excessively; it should be light. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
