The Ruling on Ritual Purity for Reading the Qur'an and Hadith

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A letter reached the program from the listener (A. F. G.) saying: What is the state of a Muslim when reading the Qur'an? And likewise when reading the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Answer:
If he is in a state of major ritual impurity, he does not read the Qur'an. As for if he is not in a state of ritual purity, but is not in a state of major ritual impurity; then he may read from other than the mushaf, as mentioned in the answer to the previous question.
As for the hadiths, he may read them even if he is in a state of major ritual impurity. The hadiths are not like the Qur'an. His reading from the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), or books of tafsir, or biographies; there is no blame on him in this absolutely, whether he is in a state of major ritual impurity or otherwise. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
