The ruling on a man informing his wife about what happens to him with others

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I told my wife at home about a man who lied to me in matters and did not keep his promises with me. Is this considered backbiting and talebearing regarding this man, even though these bad traits came from him?

Answer:
I do not know of any harm in that if there is a benefit in informing her. If there is a benefit in informing her, because it is something that happened from him to you, I do not know of any objection in that, and it does not count as backbiting; because you informed her about something he did with you and it transgressed against you. So if there is a need to inform her, and the need calls for informing her, otherwise leaving it is better, because I fear it may be backbiting if there is no benefit in informing her. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
