Ruling on raising the voice in dhikr when accompanying a funeral

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Another listener asks about what happens at funerals—may Your Eminence the Shaykh guide us—and it appears to be a widespread affliction in many countries. He asks and says: While following a funeral procession for a deceased person, I find some people saying, "There is no god but Allah," in a loud voice, and I find some of them saying, "Remember Allah." What is the ruling on this practice? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no evidence for this. The Sunnah in this matter is that the Salaf, when they followed a funeral, would speak softly, be humble, and reflect on death and what comes after it. So the Sunnah in such a case is to refrain from talking and to contemplate the destination and what happens after death, and how the deceased will be questioned in his grave, so that a person is affected by this scene. As for saying, "Remember Allah," or "Unite Allah," or saying, "There is no god but Allah," there is no evidence for this; it should be left. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
