The ruling on saying “Wahhiduh” (Unite Him) when accompanying a funeral procession and the like

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Like the one who says at the graveyard or when accompanying a funeral procession: “Wahhiduh” (Unite Him) and the like?

Answer:
This has no basis. No, the Sunnah is to remain silent when accompanying a funeral procession. A person listens and reflects on his fate, knowing that what happened to those before him will happen to him, and he reflects on the fate of the one with him. He reflects on the grave and what is related to the Hereafter. As for shouting: “Wahhiduh, Wahhiduh, say ‘La ilaha illa Allah’ (There is no god but Allah),” this has no basis.
