Question:
The listener Muhammad Safi Muhammad sent a question and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Please explain this hadith to us. May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
I do not know the authenticity of this hadith, but what is sufficient for it and takes its place is what the two Shaykhs narrated in the two Sahihs from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih al-Bukhari 6951 Sahih al-Bukhari 6951 And in the authentic hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1425Sahih (Darussalam) This is sufficient for that unknown hadith.
So if a person is in the need of his brother, and he helps his brother in paying off his debt, in interceding for him in a need, in his treatment, in giving him medicine, in transporting him by car to the doctor, or in other such needs, then Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) has promised that He will be in his need and fulfill his need just as he fulfilled the need of his brother. He has promised him His help, Blessed and Exalted is He. The believers are brothers who cooperate in their permissible needs and their religious needs. Every person has a reward for helping his brother in his worldly and religious needs alike.
As for sin, no, he does not help him in sins, he does not help him in them. It is not permissible for him to help in sin; because Allah says: [Al-Ma'idah: 2] But he helps him in what is permissible, such as treatment, and the like, and in what is prescribed, such as helping him with congregational prayer, helping him with Hajj, helping him with jihad, helping him with dutifulness to his parents, and maintaining his family ties, and other such forms of good. So he is rewarded for this assistance. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.

It is better for one of you to walk in the need of his brother than to perform i'tikaf in this mosque of mine

والله في عون العبد ما كان العبد في عون أخيهSo if a person is in the need of his brother, and he helps his brother in paying off his debt, in interceding for him in a need, in his treatment, in giving him medicine, in transporting him by car to the doctor, or in other such needs, then Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) has promised that He will be in his need and fulfill his need just as he fulfilled the need of his brother.
