The Meaning of the Hadith "Whoever Meets the Needs of His Brother..."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The statement:
And whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs.من كان في حاجة أخيه كان الله في حاجته
Sahih al-Bukhari 6951
Is this a general ruling?

Answer:
Yes, it is authentic. It is a promise from our Lord (Exalted and Majestic is He) on the tongue of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). If you meet the need of your brother: you intercede for him in a benefit, you help him with something, you lend him something, you help him with medicine, or with the doctor's fee when he is unable to pay; all of this brings you reward. You guide him to good, you direct him to good, you prevent him from evil. One is rewarded for both the transitive and the intransitive acts.
Q: Meeting needs and helping...?
A: One does both, the transitive and the intransitive. Some of the intransitive is obligatory and some is recommended, and the transitive is likewise: some of it is obligatory and some is recommended.
