It is obligatory to disclose it; one must not deceive people. He should say, “You see in it such-and-such an illness,” and disclose it. As for deceiving people, it is not permissible. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Ibn Majah 2225Da'if (Darussalam) Thus he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Ibn Majah 2225Da'if (Darussalam) So he should say, “It is sick with such-and-such.” Until the buyer is fully aware. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the two sellers: Sahih al-Bukhari 2079 We ask Allah for well-being. And if the buyer becomes aware of the illness, he has the right to return it; he has the option. Yes.
