What is the ruling on the niqab for a woman in the state of ihram?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: I want to perform Hajj, and I heard that the niqab is not permissible for a woman in the state of ihram. Is the covering that some people call the ghutrah permissible for a woman in the state of ihram, which covers the entire face?

Answer:
The niqab is not permissible for a woman in the state of ihram, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
A woman should not wear the niqab, nor should she wear glovesلا تنتقب المرأة، ولا تلبس القفازين
So if she is in the state of ihram, she does not wear the niqab, which is sewn to the size of the face and has two openings for the eyes, or one opening for the eyes. She does not wear it, and she does not wear gloves on her hands, the tight-fitting gloves on the hands. But she covers her face with the khimar, and she covers her hands with the jilbab, or with the abaya, there is no harm. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
