Determining the first hour of Friday

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says, "Your Eminence, I hope you will clarify the first hour of Friday. I want to go during the first hours? Is it the tenth, the ninth, or the eighth hour? And what has come in the hadiths regarding going early for the Friday prayer, Your Eminence?"

Answer:
It is established in the two Sahihs that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
he is like one who offers a camel as a sacrifice to seek the Pleasure of Allah; and he who comes at the second hour is like one who offers a cow to win the Pleasure of Allah; and he who comes at the third hour is like one who offers a ram with horns (in sacrifice); and he who comes at the fourth hour is like one who offers a hen; and he who comes at the fifth hour is like one who offers an eggمن راح في الساعة الأولى فكأنما قرب بدنة، ومن راح في الساعة الثانية فكأنما قرب بقرة، ومن راح في الثالثة فكأنما قرب كبشًا أقرن، ومن راح في الساعة الرابعة فكأنما قرب دجاجة، ومن راح في الساعة الخامسة فكأنما قرب بيضة

This contains a great virtue. One should go early and hasten to the Friday prayer so that he strives in recitation and prayer before the imam arrives. When he enters the mosque, he should engage in prayer and pray what Allah has written for him. Then he should strive in recitation, reading what Allah has written for him, until the imam appears, until the imam comes out for the prayer. This is a great virtue.
As for the first hour, Allah knows it best. But the closest opinion—and Allah knows best—is that it is after the sun has risen by the length of a spear, after one has prayed the sunnah of the rising sun, the early duha sunnah. This is the closest opinion—and Allah knows best—that this is the first hour. Because the sunnah for the one praying is to remain in his place of prayer until the sun rises. So, after this, if he goes in the first hour after the sun has risen, and after he has attended to his needs at home, he goes to the mosque. This is the first hour—and Allah knows best. This is the closest opinion, and Allah knows best. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, Your Eminence.
