When are the dhikr for waking from sleep recited?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner (Y. N. K.) from the Eastern Region asks: Is it permissible for me to recite the dhikr for sleep immediately after waking up, before washing my face and performing wudu, or after washing my face and performing wudu?

Answer:
When a person wakes up, he performs the prescribed dhikr, remembering Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He): "There is no god but Allah alone, having no partner. His is the dominion, and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent. Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. There is no power and no strength except by Allah. Praise be to Allah who gave me life after He caused me to die, and to Him is the resurrection." He does this when he wakes up, before he gets up. When he wakes up, he recites the dhikr for sleep, just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do. Likewise, he recites the verses from the end of Surat Ali 'Imran:
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding.إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَآيَاتٍ لِأُولِي الأَلْبَابِ
[Ali 'Imran:190] to the end of the surah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite them when he woke up (peace and blessings be upon him) before getting up from his place (peace and blessings be upon him). This is the Sunnah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
