Question:
From the questions of this brother from Kuwait (A. F), he says: Your Eminence, I often search for something that clarifies for me how to practice the deeds of the hearts in the correct manner, because I often err in them. I have read books by Shaykh Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him), but they are difficult for me. Is there any guidance and direction from Your Eminence, Shaykh Abdul Aziz?
Answer:
Yes, I advise you to turn to worship with your heart: at the end of the day and the beginning of the day, and at the end of the night in your prayers. Let your heart be present in the supplication, in the recitation, and in the prayer. And be glad of good, for if you bring your heart to your prayer, to your remembrance of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) at the end of the day before the Maghrib prayer, or at the beginning of the day before the Fajr prayer, or before the sunrise, you remember Allah and recite the Qur'an with a present heart, all of this contains great good and great virtue. Likewise, in the middle of the night and at the end of the night, if you pray while bringing your heart, hoping for the reward of your Lord, persisting in supplication, praying, and reciting, all of this contains great good.
The presenter: May Allah reward you, O Shaykh.
