The ruling on prioritizing the call to good morals over the call to tawhid (the oneness of Allah)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Some groups pay more attention to good morals than they do to tawhid (the oneness of Allah) and the call to tawhid. Is this correct?

Answer:
It is taught that the most important thing is tawhid (the oneness of Allah) first, then the other obligatory acts such as prayer, along with abandoning the forbidden things, the greatest of which is shirk (associating partners with Allah). So, if he strives to have good character, strives for generosity and liberality, and strives for pleasant speech, this is perfection.
Q: They say: Tawhid (the oneness of Allah): all people are Muslims, even if they are Sufis or others. They say: Tawhid drives people away. Is this their claim?
A: This is from ignorance; this is from the ignorant. This is the call of the messengers, the call of the messengers to tawhid (the oneness of Allah). And the one who sees that tawhid drives people away is from the brothers of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, from the ignorant, like Abu Lahab and Abu Talib and their like, who distanced themselves from the call to tawhid so that they would not drive away their fathers and brothers.
