The Ruling on Disciplining Children for Their Negligence in Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a man who has been tested by the fact that his sons do not go out to the House of Allah ; they pray in their homes. He has labored with them in guiding and advising them until he reached the point of striking them. What is obligatory in his case?

Answer:
This is what is obligatory: discipline. If he is unable to manage it, he should refer them to the committee, or to the governorate if there is a governorate in his town, or to the committee if it is stronger than the governorate.
Q: And one of them has been tested by the fact that his daughter does not pray at all?
A: Likewise, he should discipline her until she becomes regular in her prayer, and with discipline she will become regular, if Allah wills.
