What is the ruling on making du'a' with raised hands after a voluntary prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What al-Bukhari narrated regarding the disbelievers of Quraysh when they placed the placenta of the she-camel on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in prostration, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) concluded the prayer, he raised his hands to supplicate against them. Is it taken from this that it is recommended to supplicate after the prayer?

Answer:
This is what has been reported regarding raising the hands. I do not recall any report of raising the hands after a voluntary prayer other than this: he (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated against them when they placed the placenta on him. He made a great supplication against them. So there is no harm in it, but only at times, not constantly.
