The Ruling on Self-Detonation in Jihad to Harm the Enemy

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The act of the young man of the trench who said to the king: "Take an arrow from my quiver... if you do that, you will kill me." Is this a type of destruction or is it jihad in the path of Allah?

Answer:
This is the legislation of those before us, which Allah established for them. It is not our legislation. Our legislation is the prohibition of killing. Therefore, a person does not kill himself, nor does he permit the killing of himself, except in jihad.
Q: My intention is, who does he take with him in the detonations?
A: It is not permissible. Detonations are not permissible. For him to detonate himself is not permissible.
Q: There are those who use this as evidence for the permissibility of detonation?
A: No, it is not permissible. The Messenger prohibited it. Allah says:
And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا
[Al-Nisa: 29], and the Messenger says:
If anyone kills himself with something, he will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection.مَن قتل نفسَه بشيءٍ عُذِّبَ به يوم القيامة
