Explanation of the words of Ibn Malik (may Allah have mercy on him): "Or affirmed in a future oath ***"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The third:
"Or affirmed in a future oath"
It means: Or it came affirmed in a future oath, and we add a fourth condition: not separated from its lam, not separated from its lam only. How many conditions are there?
The student: Three.

The Shaykh : ... future, not separated from its lam. The conditions are four, what are they? Three, four. Is 'Abd al-Wahhab with us? If it comes affirmed in an oath here? Complete it?
The student: Not separated from its lam.

The Shaykh : Future, not separated from its lam, so it confirms, and this confirms obligation. It confirms the present tense if the four conditions are met, it confirms obligation. Let us look now, Allah the Exalted said:
He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. لينبذنّ في الحطمة
[Al-Humazah 104:4]
He will surely be cast لينبذنّ
Yes
Say: Yes, and by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected قل بلى وربّي لتبعثنّ
Bala, is it included?
And by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected وربّي لتبعثنّ
You will surely be resurrected لتبعثنّ
Affirmed or negated?
The student: Affirmed.

The Shaykh : In an oath.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : And where is the oath?
The student: And my Lord.

The Shaykh : And my Lord, future or today?
The student: Future.

The Shaykh : Future, separated from its lam?
The student: Not separated.

The Shaykh : Huh?
The student: Not separated.

The Shaykh :
And by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected وربّي لتبعثنّ
And [even] if they should aid them, they will surely turn their backs ولئن نصروهم ليولنّ الأدبار
[Al-Hashr 59:12]
They will surely turn their backs ليولنّ
This is affirmed, in a future oath, not separated from its lam, or not?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : So by his saying: "affirmed", if it is negated, you do not give it its ruling. If it is in an oath but negated, the nūn of confirmation does not enter it.
And if they are fought ولئن قوتلوا
Here?
The student:
They will not support them لا ينصرونهم
.

The Shaykh :
They will not support them لا ينصرونهم
.
The student:
They will not support them لا ينصرونهم
.

The Shaykh :
They will not support them لا ينصرونهم
Here?
The student:
they will not aid them لا ينصرونهم

The Shaykh : Or will they not support them?
The student: No.

The Shaykh : What is correct? What is correct? It is not correct because it is negated.
they will not aid them لا ينصرونهم
and if they are driven out ولئن أخرجوا

The student:
they will not go out لا يخرجون
.

The Shaykh :
they will not leave with them لا يخرجون معهم
[Al-Hashr 59:12]
This is excluded by his saying: "affirmed", and his saying: "future" excludes it if I said: By Allah, I will surely beat you now. It is not permissible to say "I will surely beat you" because it is future or not?
The student: Not future.

The Shaykh : Not future, or "By Allah, I will surely take you out yesterday," what is correct? And some grammarians said it is permissible, it is permissible to say "By Allah, I will surely beat you now." Okay, and we conditioned the fourth condition?
The student: Not separated from its lam.

The Shaykh : Not separated from its lam, if it is separated from its lam, the nūn of confirmation does not attach to it. Like the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And whether you die or are killed ولئن متّم أو قتلتم
[Ali 'Imran 3:158]
Here?
The student:
to Allah لإلى الله
.

The Shaykh :
unto Allah you will be gathered. لإلى الله تحشرون
[Ali 'Imran 3:158]
This lam is for confirmation
to Allah لإلى الله
But he did not say "to Allah you will surely be gathered," why? Because it was separated from its lam in the preposition and its object.
unto Allah you will be gathered. لإلى الله تحشرون
[Ali 'Imran 3:158]
Is it clear? Okay, now if the four conditions are met, confirmation is obligatory. If one is absent, confirmation is prohibited. In both cases, the obligation of confirmation and the prohibition of confirmation, the obligation of confirmation and the prohibition of confirmation. When is it obligatory?
The student: When the conditions are fulfilled.

The Shaykh : When the four conditions are fulfilled, and when is it prohibited?
The student: When one is missing.

The Shaykh : If one condition from them is missing, then confirmation is prohibited. So if someone said: If you honor me, yes, in the house, I will surely honor you, is it wrong?
The student: Wrong because it is separated.

The Shaykh : Separated between the lam of confirmation and the verb. Okay, I said: If you honor me, I will not humiliate you. If you honor me, I will not humiliate you?
The student: It is not suitable.

The Shaykh : No, what is correct?
The student: Negation.

The Shaykh : Because it is negation, here? Negation cannot coexist with the nūn of confirmation. Negation cannot.
The student: The meaning differs.

The Shaykh : The meaning is the same.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : No, I will not humiliate you, I will not humiliate you ... is it correct or not correct?
The student: It is not suitable.

The Shaykh : It is not correct because it is negated, and it must be in a future oath.
"Or affirmed in a future oath".
