Explanation of the words of Ibn Malik (may Allah have mercy on him): "And moving the vowel is forbidden if there is no counterpart *** and that is not forbidden in the hamzated word."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said:
"And moving the vowel is forbidden if there is no counterpart *** and that is not forbidden in the hamzated word"
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) informed us that if we move the vowel to the soundless letter before it, and this construction has no counterpart in the Arabic language, then it is not permissible, because by doing so we depart from what? From the known meters in the Arabic language, except in the case of the hamzated word. And therefore he said:
"And that is not forbidden in the hamzated word"
An example will come, if Allah wills, meaning that if you move the vowel of the last letter to the soundless letter before it, and it departs from the customary meters in the Arabic language, then do not do it except in what?
The student: The hamzated word.

The Shaykh : Except in the hamzated word.
