Reading from Ibn Aqil’s commentary (may Allah have mercy on him), with the Shaykh’s annotations: " .

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Read.
The reader: He said (may Allah have mercy on him):
" And the transfer of an open vowel from a non-hamza letter *** is not seen by the Basrans and the Kufans, who transmitted it
The Kufan school holds that stopping with transfer is permissible whether the vowel is an open, closed, or broken one, and whether the final letter is a hamza or not. Thus, in their view, you would say 'this is the blow'
.

The Shaykh : This is the blow.
The reader: " This is the blow, and I saw the blow, and I passed by the blow when stopping on 'the blow.' And this is the return, and I saw the return .

The Shaykh : And this?
The reader: ...

The Shaykh : No, no.
The reader: ...

The Shaykh : Read according to the diacritical marks.
The reader: The return.

The Shaykh : Huh?
The reader: The return.

The Shaykh : Yes, and this is the return.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The return, yes.
The reader: " And this is the return, and I saw the return, and I passed by the return .

The Shaykh : No, no, the return, how? And I saw the return, the return.
The reader: And I saw the return.

The Shaykh : Glory be to Allah! And I saw the return.
The reader: " And I saw the return, and I passed by the return .

The Shaykh : Yes.
The reader: " When stopping on 'the return.' And the Basran school holds that transfer is not permissible if the vowel is an open one, unless the final letter is a hamza; in their view, 'I saw the return' is permissible .

The Shaykh : The return.
The reader: " And 'I saw the blow' is not permissible. And the Kufan school is more correct because they transmitted it from the Arabs .

The Shaykh : Okay, so the man, I saw this load, stop? The load (al-himl) and the transfer of an open vowel, open vowel, meaning anything other than an open vowel is permissible. In anything other than an open vowel, which is a closed or broken vowel, they agree. In the open vowel, they differ:
" And the transfer of an open vowel from a non-hamza letter *** is not seen by the Basrans
Clear? They all see the closed and broken vowels.
