Advising the Believing Woman to Her Sister
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: If the wrong that the believing sister sees is free mixing of men and women and the lack of hijab, how should she advise them?
A: She should advise them, saying to her sister in Allah: “It is obligatory for you to refrain from free mixing and from exposing yourself, and to pay attention to the matter of covering yourself from men who are not your mahram (relatives one may not marry).” Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Ahzab: 53]. And He the Exalted said: [An-Nur 24:31] the verse [An-Nur: 31]. She should bring the verses and hadiths relevant to this situation, which clarify what is required and warn against what contradicts the pure Shari'ah. She should make it clear to her sisters in Allah that it is obligatory for us all to be wary of what Allah has forbidden, to cooperate in righteousness and piety, and to advise one another to truth and patience in it.

And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَاسْأَلُوهُنَّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ ذَلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمْ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّnot expose their adornment except to their husbands
وَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ
