The one who remembers Allah most is the one whose heart finds peace and whose conscience finds relief

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: When I was a teenager, I was exhausted from my own sins, but I did not abandon the obligations of Islam, such as prayer. I am now repentant to Allah from all sins in general, but I have lost the sweetness of faith, and I live in confusion and anxiety. When I recite the testimony, I feel that the testimony does not reach my heart. I am afraid of Allah that He will seal my heart, and I ask for your guidance. May Allah reward you.

A: I advise you to praise Allah abundantly for the repentance He has bestowed upon you, and to increase in righteous deeds, hold a good opinion of your Lord, and increase in the remembrance of Allah and in reading the Qur'an with reflection. Keep the company of the good and stay away from the wicked, and be glad of good and a good outcome. If Allah wills, after acting on what I have mentioned to you, you will find the sweetness of faith, the delight of the two testimonies, and the fruit of sincere repentance. Allah said :
Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured."أَلا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
[Surat al-Ra'd: 28] And He the Exalted said:
And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
[Surat al-Nur: 31] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
(embracing) Islam wipes out all that has gone before it (previous misdeeds). Verily, emigration wipes out all the previous sinsالإسلام يهدم ما كان قبله، والتوبة تهدم ما كان قبلها
Riyad as-Salihin 710
, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له
Sunan Ibn Majah 4250Da’if (Darussalam)
So whoever increases in the remembrance of Allah and is sincere in his repentance will attain success, tranquility, peace of conscience, and his evil deeds will be erased. May Allah keep you firm on guidance and grant you steadfastness; He is the best of those asked.
