Ruling on leaving mattresses and clothing unwashed when they become ritually impure

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He also asks and says: What is the ruling in the Shari'ah regarding a man leaving his mattress or sleeping cover without washing it of impurities, but leaving it until it dries? And do clothes become impure if someone sits on them?
Answer: It is recommended that if a mattress becomes impure, it should be washed, and likewise the blanket should be washed, as well as the pillows, because a person may come to them while wearing wet clothes or with a wet body, in which case they become impure. Therefore, it is obligatory to wash and purify them so that if one lies on them after the moisture has been removed, or sits on them with wet clothing, one is safe from their harm. However, if the impurity remains and one sits on it while wet, it becomes impure. This is not recommended; rather, it is obligatory for the believer to be cautious of this, and to wash what he needs to lie on or cover himself with, or anything else he benefits from. If it has become soiled and there is no need for it, it should be thrown away with the garbage. As for using it while it is impure, no, he must purify it first and then use it. Yes.
